A Kaizer Chiefs striker won two awards in Zambia, following an awards ceremony held on Saturday.
Though he left Zesco United to join Chiefs during the off-season, striker Lazarous Kambole was recognised for his contribution at Zambia’s Premier League last season as he walked away with the Fans’ Footballer of the Year award, as well as the Most Disciplined Player award.
After joining Amakhosi, Kambole had also been recognised at Zesco after winning the club's Player of the Year award, Players' Player of the Year award, as well as the Most Disciplined accolade.
As reported, Orlando Pirates' Austin Muwowo won the Player of the Year accolade in Zambia for his performances for Forest Rangers.
Kambole, who has started in both matches played by Chiefs under coach Ernst Middendorp so far this season, will aim to keep his place in German mentor’s team when Amakhosi will take on SuperSport United at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
