Following their 2-1 over Cape Town City at the weekend, Hunt told the media that Agay was never a midfielder and is more suited to playing centre back, where he has been deployed in Chiefs last few games.
“He (Agay) is not a midfield player, no chance. I don’t know what he was signed as, but he is not a midfield player,” Hunt said at the time.
Now, ahead of the match against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, Agay has responded to his coach’s claims, stating that he will play any position required by his coach.
“I’ve adapted to playing wherever coach Gavin Hunt utilises me,” Agay told Chiefs‘ official website.
“Playing anywhere on the field is all about the belief that the coach and your teammates have in you. So, I’m comfortable with being deployed in any position that I can play. I have played in many positions as a player, so it’s not a new thing for me,” he added.

Meanwhile, Agay is confident that Chiefs can build on the impressive form that saw them collect maximum points in their last two outings.
“Our next game on Tuesday won’t be easy. It will be as tough as the other ones. Therefore, it’s about the right attitude and approach. I believe we can collect three points. Whoever will be there on the pitch must be supported” he concluded.
