Kaizer Chiefs, who returned from the off-season last week, are set for an intense training programme as part of their pre-season preparations, the Siya crew has learnt.
After almost two weeks with his new team, Amakhosi coach Arthur Zwane is said to be stepping up a gear as the team will take their pre-season training to Limpopo in the coming weeks.
Siya sources have revealed that the players have been easing into being back on the field and on Monday, enjoyed their first training session under the club’s new Sports Scientist, Muzi Maluleke.
However, according to insiders, Amakhosi are set to step up the intensity of their training in Limpopo with the club’s new recruits expected to have arrived by then.
"The entire squad have been informed that they will be taking their preparations to Limpopo in the coming weeks where training is to be much more intense than in the first week," the source said.
Chiefs are expected to welcome the trio of Kamohelo Mahlatsi, Dillan Solomons and George Matlou to Naturena on 2 July, after they were given extra time off before joining their new teammates.
