With Kaizer Chiefs looking to make it three wins from three consecutive matches tonight when they face Golden Arrows, goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi has spoken about the team’s chances and the club’s aspirations for winning the trophy this season.
While he didn’t officially say it, Akpeyi seems to suggest that Amakhosi aim to go all out to challenge for the Absa Premiership title this season, following the impressive start for coach Ernst Middendorp’s side.

Chiefs have won five, drawn one and lost one of the five matches they have played so far this season, and have opened a three-point gap with second placed Polokwane City, who dropped points after losing to Highlands Park at the weekend.

“We want to play beautiful football but at the same time we need the three points to stay on top of the league. As we all know, before I even joined the team, there’s been a long draught of trophies for the team. It’s a good start for us and we don’t want to drop it we just want to keep the momentum going,” Akpeyi told the media.
