Chiefs Place Star On Transfer List…
Kaizer Chiefs are believed to have placed one of their top players on the transfer list ahead of the new season as they continue to make wholesale changes ahead of their upcoming campaign.
The Glamour Boys have already released a number of players from their contracts following mutual termination agreements, and now it appears that they are are hoping to receive some offers for Colombian forward, Leonardo Castro.
Castro was one of the club’s top scorers in 2018/19 despite a lack of game-time in comparison to his previous campaigns in the Absa Premiership, but it appears that Ernst Middendorp doesn’t see him as being part of his plans for the season ahead.
The Siya crew recently reported that the 30-year-old had been called in to discuss his future with Chiefs after what was one of the worst seasons in the club’s history, and Siya sources have suggested that the outcome of that meeting was to place the South American up for transfer.
With the former Mamelodi Sundowns man having a contract until 2020, it would be difficult for Chiefs to try and persuade him to agree to a mutual termination, however should a club be willing to meet their valuation, then potentially a deal could happen before the transfer window comes to a close.
