Despite receiving rave awards for his performances, Kaizer Chiefs midfield starlet Nkosingiphile Ngcobo has revealed how he plans to keep his feet on the ground.
The 21-year-old has for the second time in succession been voted the as the Toyota Corolla Player Who #HasItAll for the month of January 2021. He also won the award in December 2020.
”I’m very happy and humbled, to Amakhosi family, thank you and keep on supporting us,” Ngcobo told KC TV regarding his award.
‘Mshini’, as Ngcobo is affectionately known, has maintained that he sets the team targets ahead of his own, and has vowed not to get carried away by the hype that currently surrounds him.
“My confidence is very high, but also I have a challenge to keep my feet on the ground, stay humble and that I carry on with the same performance,” he said.
After netting three goals for Chiefs this season, of which his favourite came against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, Ngcobo has identified goal scoring as an area in which he needs to improve.
“It is very important that I improve that I improve that part of my game. It’s not every time that the strikers will score, we need to score and help them as well. Ja I’m very happy if I’m getting some goals, I just have to improve on that also.
“I must make sure that I don’t disappoint myself, my family and the whole Kaizer Chiefs family. I just have to keep on working hard make sure that we get some results also, Ngcobo concluded.
