Kaizer Chiefs’ pre-season preparations are well underway at Naturena at present, but it would appear that there has been a change of plans regarding their camp.
The Glamour Boys, who will play Township Rollers of Botswana before facing Orlando Pirates in the Carling Black Label Cup later this month as part of their preparations, were expected to head out to Rustenburg for a camp this week, though it appears that will no longer be the case.
Chiefs, along with their new signings, are currently being put through their paces by head coach, Ernst Middendorp, at Naturena, and will soon go into camp to turn things up a notch as the 2019/20 season draws closer.
It had been thought that the Amakhosi would be heading to the North West in the build-up to the new season, but it is now believed that plans have changed and that they will now be going elsewhere.
New signings, Lazarous Kambole, James Kotei, Samir Nurkovic and – most recently – Kearyn Baccus, have all now begun work with their new teammates, and will be looking to hit the ground running.
Meanwhile, it appears that Khama Billiat, who has been posting on social media from Cape Town, has been given some extra time off following the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
