It was some magic from Khama Billiat that saved Zimbabwe's skin yesterday, and he in turn gave a big boost to his club, Kaizer Chiefs.
Billiat was due to miss the Warriors' games due to an injury that he sustained in the 2-1 win over Cape Town City before the international break, however he was called up over the weekend after they suffered a surprise 1-0 World Cup Qualifier defeat at the hands of Somalia.
The 29-year-old was thrown straight into the starting XI by Joey Antipas, and the decision to bring him into the squad at the last moment proved to be a good one as he helped inspire a late comeback as they won 3-1 on the night and 3-2 on aggregate to book their spot in the next round of WC qualifiers.
Chiefs' talisman was on hand to fire home the winner with a brilliant finish in the dying embers of the game with his side on the brink of seeing their WC dream ended, kickstarting celebrations around National Stadium in Harare and heartbreak for their Somalian counterparts.
Now Zimbabweans around the world will wait to see who they will be pitted against in the group stages of qualification as they continue their quest to reach a WC finals for the first time ever.

Billiat's 90 minutes back home, meanwhile, gives a welcome boost to Ernst Middendorp and the Amakhosi ahead of this weekend's clash with Polokwane City, suggesting that the attacker will be available for selection as they look to continue their impressive start to the 2019/20 Absa Premiership season.
