Another Naturena Exit Confirmed As Chiefs Changes Continue
With Kaizer Chiefs having made wholesale changes before the 2019/20 season gets underway, another player has agreed to terminate his contract and leave the club.
The club confirmed even before the season had come to a close that Hendrick Ekstein, Bhongolethu Jayiya, Khotso Malope and Gustavo Paez had all exited the club after a mutual termination of their deals, while more changes were promised when the club said that they were ‘bolstering the technical team, the playing personnel and strengthening the football department in preparation for the new season’.
It was reported by the Siya crew back in May that Mario Booysen, who signed for the club from Ajax Cape Town last year, could be one of the next players out of the exit door, and the club have now revealed that, after agreeing the terms of his exit, he is no longer a Chiefs player.
Booysen made 14 domestic appearances for the Glamour Boys during his spell with the club, losing just four times, and now the 30-year-old is on the lookout for the next move in his career as he looks to put an injury-plagued spell at Naturena behind him.
Meanwhile, it appears there could still be more exits to follow with question marks still remaining regarding the future of Leonardo Castro and now Khama Billiat.
