Why Chiefs Sent Promising Trio Away From Naturena…
Kaizer Chiefs have had a very busy few months, and the transfer window came to an end with them announcing that one of their most promising talents has headed out.
Given Thibedi, who was recently promoted to the senior team and even made it into a senior matchday squad last season, has been sent out on loan to Moroka Swallows in the GladAfrica Championship, with the 21-year-old midfielder joining a couple of his Amakhosi teammates there.
The Siya crew had previously reported that young Thibedi could be heading out on loan from the Glamour Boys, while the moves of both Itumeleng Shopane and Ayanda Rorwana had previously been confirmed.
A statement from Bobby Motaung on the club’s official website today read, “We had to look at the youngsters that we brought up from the Development Academy… These youngsters still need to pick up some experience by gaining regular game-time.
“We identified the three promising youngsters and thought they will mature with the opportunity of going on loan to Swallows in the NFD. We will monitor their performance and hopefully they’ll come back to feature for us.”
All three players are already at Swallows and looking to make a name for themselves in the second tier as they seek regular senior football at this point in their fledgling careers.
