Chiefs Make Fresh Player Announcement

Kaizer Chiefs have made an announcement regarding one of their defenders after he penned a new long-term deal at the club.

Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya, who is making a name for himself as a senior player after being promoted from the Amakhosi academy, was due to see his contract at the club expire in less than a years’ time, but Chiefs have moved swiftly to make sure that doesn’t happen.

The 22-year-old full back got his first appearance over the weekend as the Glamour Boys got a 1-0 win over Black Leopards in the Absa Premiership, and now the news of his new deal will put another smile on his face.

A statement on the club’s official website, “Amakhosi have extended Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya’s contract until 30 June 2023. The young player’s contract was due to expire on 30 June 2020, but the Club has opted to review and improve the current contract and sign a new one until June 2023.

“His dedication, commitment and good work ethic have established him as a valuable member of the team. Ntiya-Ntiya was promoted from the youth ranks in January 2018 and has been a regular feature at the left-back position for Amakhosi.

“We congratulate him and hope this serves as motivation to all the youngsters in our Youth Academy.”

Ntiya-Ntiya is expected to keep his place in the squad later this month when Chiefs return to action against SuperSport United.
