The South African transfer deadline slammed shut last night, but this morning Kaizer Chiefs had one more announcement to make...
The Siya crew previously reported that Letlhogonolo Mirwa, who was signed at the start of last season, could be on his way out of the club as he clearly wasn't in Ernst Middendorp's plans for the future, and the club has now confirmed that he has indeed been released from his contract.
Chiefs said on their official Twitter account today, "Kaizer Chiefs and Letlhogonolo Mirwa have parted ways. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours."
Mirwa, 24, leaves Amakhosi without even getting the chance to make his senior debut at the club, and will now be on the lookout for the next step in his career as he looks to get things back on track after a year in which he was unable to play any sort of competitive football.
Meanwhile, the club also confirmed on their official website that Yusuf Bunting had left the club, making it 16 players in total that have departed over the last few months, as the Glamour Boys looked to tidy up their team and get back to winning trophies in 2019/20.
