Chiefs Announce New Partnership
Kaizer Chiefs aren’t just busy with regards to sorting out matters on the field for next season, they’ve also announced a new partnership as they plot the way forward elsewhere in the club...
The Amakhosi are arguably the biggest football club in South Africa, largely down to their success in the trophy department over the last 50 years, and they’re also trying to do their bit outside of the football pitch by helping to empower their supporters.
It was announced this week the the Glamour Boys have teamed up with PinkCodrs Africa, which is described as ‘an initiative that is challenging the current shortage of female software developers around the world’ and is looking to ‘build a strong network of female software developers around Africa’.
Jessica Motaung, the club’s marketing director, told the club’s official website, “Much as we are a football club, Kaizer Chiefs’ aim is to always grow the business beyond just the field of play by introducing and building the brand within new markets and empowering women… The involvement of women in technology is growing and we always believe in being at the forefront of the fourth industrial revolution and the technological advances that are out there in the world.”
“The partnership is the perfect platform for Kaizer Chiefs as trendsetters in our field… We are truly excited about the project and hope to make the difference with our contribution to help upskill our ladies in IT.”
