Zwane Comments On Chiefs' Thumping
Kaizer Chiefs got off to a fine start in the Multichoice Diski Challenge over the weekend, and Arthur Zwane has explained why it bodes well for the senior team.
The young Glamour Boys beat Golden Arrows 4-1 in their opening game after coming from behind, with Rahim Sibusiso Milazi grabbing a brace and Kamohelo Hoala and Yaseen Bunting both getting a goal each at King Zwelithini Stadium.
It may be early doors in this year’s MDC tournament, but Chiefs’ win sees them in second place behind SuperSport United, and their head coach has revealed that he is happy after picking up their first three points on Saturday.
Speaking to the club’s official website following their victory, ‘10111’ said, “It is a continuation of work with our youth… We played well and I’m proud of the team. It shows we have prepared well. I am mostly pleased about scoring the goals and giving a good performance.
“I am glad to see the players committed to our style of play. Our aim is to keep working on these boys to develop and believe in their abilities. It is always good to start the campaign with a win.”
Next up for Zwane’s boys is a clash with Highlands Park at Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto this Sunday.
