Amakhosi Debutant Alert - Why Middendorp Took Chiefs' New Man Off...
Kaizer Chiefs fans were treated to an Amakhosi debut over the weekend, with the bright young signing, Reeve Frosler, getting the chance to strut his stuff against Black Leopards on Saturday.

The 21-year-old full-back was handed a starting berth by Ernst Middendorp as the coach rang the changes following defeat at the hands of Baroka the previous weekend, although the former Bidvest Wits man was started on the left side rather than the right where he has made his name.
Frosler came off in the 60th-minute after putting in a good shift for an hour and will have been happy to have been involved in the opening goal, setting Billiat free down the left in the build-up to Dax Andrianarimanana’s opener.
The game went on to end 1-1, and speaking to SuperSport TV after the game, Frosler’s German explained his decision to take him off, saying, “This is something like you’re having pre-season, it's individual periodisation. Let’s take it from this side, he's a player who has not played for a long time. He trained with us but at this moment you must see.
“He can’t go at 15 miles an hour. He was probably used to ten miles an hour, now he has come to a high level and you have watched him. The same with Kabelo (Mahlasela), a good impact but you could see 60 minutes, 45 minutes then you have to make it clear that a change has to come. Otherwise, an injury or a mistake or something will come. This is a little bit out of coaching.”
Chiefs’ next game sees them face Chippa United on April 20 away from home for a place in the Nedbank Cup final.
