Kaizer Chiefs coach, Ernst Middendorp, is crying foul about the officiating in the club’s recent matches.
Following Chiefs’ loss to Highlands Park, which led to their exit from the Nedbank Cup at the weekend, Middendorp said he thought his side should have been awarded a penalty for an incident on Dumisani Zuma during extra-time at Makhulong Stadium.
The German coach says there have been other ‘unfortunate decisions’ against the team during the club’s recent matches.
“It is a run of unfortunate decisions if you start from the game we lost against SuperSport United in the league. We lost against Maritzburg United last week and judging by the reviews we were denied the penalty that could have changed the game. We will take it in the spirit of football and move on. We will remain calm, keep our focus and prepare for the next match,” the coach said, as quoted on Chiefs’ official website.
Chiefs are preparing for the eagerly-awaited Soweto Derby clash against Orlando Pirates, which will take place at FNB Stadium this coming Saturday.
