Kaizer Chiefs’ Dumsani Zuma has described his Goal of the Month-winning striker v Chippa United as ‘a typical PlayStation goal’ as he hopes the award spurs him on to bigger things.
Zuma, 24, scored the gong for the Absa Premiership’s best goal of November as voted for by the South African public, with his finish against Chippa United being named as the best on offer.
Having been used mainly as a super-sub in 2019/20 so far, the former Bloemfontein Celtic man says that he’s hoping to gain motivation from his recent accolade and build on his performances as Amakhosi eye the league title come the end of the season.
Speaking to Chiefs’ official website, the attacker said, “It was an important goal for the team, especially as a few players were not available for that match… It was a typical PlayStation goal. It’s a great feeling, receiving this award will motivate me to get even more.”
Zuma came on to help in another victory over the weekend as he grabbed an assist in the 3-0 win over Cape Town City, and will be eager to feature once more this weekend when they go up against Black Leopards in Thohoyandou.
