Kaizer Chiefs defender Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya has once again been omitted from the travelling 18-man squad as his future at Naturena hangs in the balance.
Chiefs released their squad to face Horoya in their final Group C game of the CAF Champions League in Guinea, and the Glamour Boys revealed that they will be without three players for the clash.
But, another player who has not been added as part of the squad is 24-year-old left back Ntiya-Ntiya, who has largely been on the periphery this season.
As reported by the crew in edition 1217 of Soccer Laduma, the defender’s future is up in the air, with his agent Jazzman Mahlakgane confirming that they are set to sit down with the Chiefs management regarding his lack of game-time this season.
“I haven’t spoken to Bobby (Motaung) about him. You know we did (Siphelele) Ntshangase, so Ntiya- Ntiya we haven’t spoken (about). I think once we meet with Chiefs and speak, we’ll be able to get a definite answer,” Mahlakgane, told the Siya crew.
Worryingly for the defender though, is his limited appearances under coach Gavin Hunt, which has seen him play just 101 minutes this season, making four substitute appearances in all competitions.
Although Ntiya-Ntiya has a contract with Chiefs that expires in 2023, the limited game-time will have the defender weighing up his options ahead of the new campaign.
Chiefs currently sit in third position in Group C and a win over Horoya on Saturday could see them qualify for the quarterfinals of the competition.
