A Change For Chiefs’ Pre-Season?
With Kaizer Chiefs’ players set to return for pre-season in just under a month, it appears there could be a change of venue for the club as Ernst Middendorp looks to get them shaped up.
The Glamour Boys have spent their last few pre-season camps in Potchefstroom in the build-up to the new season, however it is thought that this year could see Middendorp change things up and take them somewhere else instead.
With the German – as things stand – set to remain in charge of the Amakhosi for the 2019/20 campaign, the Siya crew is led to believe that the club is considering heading to Rustenburg for their preparations in order to make use of the facilities at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Campus.
While there has been no confirmation yet of Chiefs’ pre-season plans, the 2019 Carling Black Label Cup – where they will once again face Orlando Pirates – was launched this week, and there are also set to be a number of other friendlies lined up between now and the start of the new Premier Soccer League season.

Along with a change of venue, it is also believed that there will be numerous alterations in playing personnel in the coming weeks, with the club already stating that wholesale changes will be made.
