A newly signed Kaizer Chiefs midfielder could finalise a loan move from the Soweto giants by no later than next week.
Following the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s dismissal of Chiefs’ appeal against the FIFA transfer ban, plans are in place to send Phathutshedzo Nange to Stellenbosch FC on loan in the 2020/21 season as Amakhosi cannot register any new players with the league at the moment.
“Look, he (Nange) is still training at Chiefs but negotiations are ongoing for him to go to Stellenbosch. It’s something that is being discussed and is likely to be finalised by next week,” said the source.
Should the move materialise for the 28-year-old, he will re-unite with his former Bidvest Wits teammate Zitha Macheke, who was signed by the Mother City outfit after the Students were officially handed over to new owners at Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila at the end of last season.
The Siya crew reported that talks have been ongoing with Swallows FC for Brandon Petersen, Sifiso Hlanti and Nange to join them this season, however, it seems Stellenbosch could be the next destination for Nange if all goes well for the parties in the negotiations, according to sources.
