PSL Prosecutor Zola Majavu has provided an update on the Kaizer Chiefs players who were not properly registered for the DStv Premiership.
Earlier this month, Majavu revealed that Amakhosi players Aiden McCarthy and Mduduzi Shabalala were not properly registered by the club.
Both players were registered for the purposes of the DStv Diski Challenge when they were included in the senior team's matchday squad for the clash against Sekhukhune United back in December.
Amakhosi appeared before the PSL Disciplinary Committee and Majavu confirmed that the case has been postponed to next month for final arguments.
"Kaizer Chiefs appeared before the DC to answer to charges of fielding two ineligble players who were originally registered for the Diski Challenge, however they were used in a fixture between themselves and Sekhukhune. The case has been postponed to the 13th of May for final arguments. On that day, on the direction of the panel, the matter must be finalised," Majavu said via the PSL's media department.
"What would be outstanding, would be a judgement that would be reserved, mindful of the fact that the season is drawing to an end."
