Chiefs Make Move For Ghana Midfielder?

Following a number of exits, Kaizer Chiefs are looking to bolster their ranks for the upcoming season, and there’s talk of a Ghanaian midfielder having peaked their interest…
According to reports in Ghana, the Amakhosi are considering a move for Simba SC star, James Kotei, with the 25-year-old being seen as a possible acquisition for the 2019/20 campaign.
Kotei, who was named best midfielder at Simba SC for the 2018/2019 campaign as they lifted the league title once again, is said to have attracted the attention of the Glamour Boys, as Ernst Middendorp looks to build a side capable of winning silverware once again.
Ghanasoccernet stated, “An official bid from Kaizer Chiefs for the services of the talented footballer is expected in the coming weeks with negotiations currently ongoing.”
It remains to be seen at this point whether Chiefs will act on their interest in the Al-Oroubah man, but with pre-season set to get underway in around a weeks’ time, the club will be eager to finalise their squad as soon as possible.
Chiefs are currently on the longest trophyless run in their history.
