Chiefs Target Surprise Signing
Kaizer Chiefs have targeted a surprise signing ahead of the 2019/20 season, with the club believed to be keen on a midfielder from Australia.
The Amakhosi are looking to bring in a host of new faces for the new campaign after releasing a number of players in recent weeks, and the Siya crew have been informed that Kearyn Baccus is the latest on their list of targets.
Baccus, who was born in South Africa but grew up in Australia and even represented them at youth level, is leaving Melbourne City in the A-League, and after the club confirmed his exit for South Africa, the crew did some digging.
A source from Oceania has revealed that the Glamour Boys are eager to bring the 27-year-old into the club to bolster their midfield, and it is thought that they see him as a signing that could help them get back to winning ways in the campaign ahead.
The midfield man played 30 games in all competitions for City last season – mainly as a defensive midfielder – as they finished fifth in the table.
