A talented youngster is in line for promotion at Kaizer Chiefs, following the progress he has made in the reserve team.
As reported in the latest Soccer Laduma, edition 1192, Lebohang Lesako is believed to be the next rising star to break into the first team, following in the footsteps of Keletso Sifama, who received his debut in the topflight under former coach Ernst Middendorp during the bio-bubble.
According to Siya sources, there is talk that Chiefs will include the 21-year-old in their first team set-up on a full team basis next season, and he could land a new and improved deal too, after he impressed the Amakhosi hierarchy with his progress in their development structures with the MultiChoice Diski Challenge team.
“When the league resumed (after PSL break), he was called to be part of the team. He was among the four MDC players that formed part of the bubble,” said the source.
“He is one of the development players that Chiefs is planning to build their team around. If you check, most of the players he played with are already with the first team – (Siyabonga) Ngezana, (Njabulo) Blom, (Happy) Mashiane, (Nkosingiphile) Ngcobo and (Bruce) Bvuma (are already playing for the first team),” the source added.
