Kaizer Chiefs are yet to hear the outcome of their appeal of the two-window transfer ban imposed by FIFA, but the Soweto giants have not stopped enquiring about potential signings.
Amakhosi appealed the ban before the Court of Arbitration for Sport on September 08 and a decision about whether or not it was successful is yet to be made.
But Chiefs are still hopeful that they can land new signings to bolster their squad for the new 2020/21 season.
According to Siya sources, the latest on their radar is Luckyboy Mokoena from Highlands Park, whom they have since enquired about.
The 26-year-old is expected to relocate to Mpumalanga after Highlands’ top-flight status was purchased by TS Galaxy owner, Tim Sukazi. However, there is a possibility that the player could contest the relocation. To read more on this, check out issue number 1192 of Soccer Laduma.
However, along with their wait for the outcome of the appeal, the Soweto giants face stiff competition to land the player’s signature as Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United are all showing interest in the player.
With that being said, there are still a number of other players on their radar.
