The Amakhosi haven’t lifted a single major trophy since securing the 2014/15 Absa Premiership title at the end of Stuart Baxter’s time at the club, with Steve Komphela and Ernst Middendorp both losing in finals, and Giovanni Solinas lasting just half a season.
Not including the players they have promoted from their youth setup, or the ones brought back from loans, there have been 16 different players brought into the Glamour Boys over the last two campaigns.
Some, like Khama Billiat, have come in to impress, while others still await their debut, have already left the club, are in talks to leave or have been transfer listed. It’s very much a mixed bag.
Bhongolethu Jayiya, Virgil Vries, Godfrey Walusimbi have all come and gone, while Leonardo Castro has been placed on the transfer list and others - such as Mario Booysen - are in the process of finalising their futures.
Now, with Lazarous Kambole already being announced, the club will be hoping that their 2019/20 signings have a better success rate.
Which signing over the last two seasons has been Chiefs' best?
