Following his exit from Kaizer Chiefs before the end of the season, Venezuelan striker Gustavo Paez could be lost to the Premier Soccer League in his next move, despite the interest shown in him locally.
Golden Arrows is one of the PSL clubs believed to have been keen on having the forward as part of their team for the new season, however, indication is that there are some clubs from outside Mzansi that are monitoring the player’s situation.
As reported in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, issue 1124, the 29-year-old has attracted interest from clubs in Angola and Malta, among other offers coming through for him.
“There are enquiries from Angola and Malta for Gustavo Paez. Clubs there have shown interest and will be getting back to me soon,” said Kenneth Yamongbe, a player’s representative handling clubs’ enquiries from those two countries.
