Kaizer Chiefs confirmed earlier this week that George Maluleka had signed a pre-contract with Mamelodi Sundowns for the start of next season, but how long has he signed for?
Chiefs revealed that he had turned down a two-year deal with a one-year option to remain at Naturena, and the Siya crew have been informed that he has penned a deal at Chloorkop that could run through until 2023.
Maluleka’s move shocked many football fans around the country, however Masandawana’s interest in ‘Mido’ was reported in Soccer Laduma several months ago as they looked to bolster their midfield.
Now, with Siya sources having confirmed that he has penned a deal that could run for three years with Sundowns, the player will be focused on finishing the season strongly as he looks to say goodbye to Chiefs by helping them end their trophy drought and lift the Absa Premiership title this season.
The 31-year-old’s new deal at Sundowns is due to kick in on July 1 once his Amakhosi contract has officially expired, but until then he remains a Glamour Boy and fans will be hoping he continues to fight for the badge as long as he’s wearing their shirt.
