Maluleka Reveals Why His Level Dropped At Chiefs

He missed the Carling Black Label Cup, got 45 minutes against Highlands Park, and a full 90 v Black Leopards, now George Maluleka is eager to get back to his best…
Maluleka was battling with an injury at the start of the 2019/20 season that meant he wasn’t able to hit the ground running after sitting out the CBL Cup, and he’s admitted that he’s ‘in a very good space’ after getting back fit again as he takes aim at SuperSport United.
‘Mido’ is expected to feature against his former employers on Saturday at FNB Stadium, with the player insisting that he’s raring to go after putting his fitness problems behind him.
Speaking to Chiefs’ official website, the 30-year-old midfielder said, “I feel good, I am in a very good space, I am happy and I am healthy. The only thing that made me not perform at the level I demand of myself was the injuries and the knocks…”
The ex-Matsatsantsa star got on the scoresheet the last time he faced SuperSport in a home game, scoring from range at Mbombela Stadium in December, and he’ll be eager to show his former teammates what they’re missing when they go into battle tomorrow evening.
