Reeve Frosler's impressive first-half goal was not enough to secure three points as Bradley Grobler netted a penalty in the second half on Saturday afternoon.
Hunt was pleased with the display from his side, especially veteran Bernard Parker who played in midfield.
"Decent performance, I thought we played well, comfortably if you know football you should understand we should have won the game," the Chiefs coach told SuperSport after the match.
"The chances we had and I said to the players before the game that the most important thing playing against SuperSport [United] don't give free-kicks away.
"And then one free-kick, we pull the jersey, we're getting hurt for one mistake every game and that's what has been happening to us a lot this season
"A penalty here, a mistake here and that's what cost us and obviously we don't take advantage of the chances. But good credible performance, some players stood up.
"I thought Bernard Parker who has not played for some time playing centre midfield, you gotta do what you have to do but he was fantastic.
"You know 'Mshini' [Nkosingiphile Ngcobo]...but all in all good performance we battled away but you have to be scoring the chances that we get."
