Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin hunt has made a surprise admission on three Amakhosi players who were confirmed to have been recalled by the club from Swallows FC earlier this season.
Amakhosi confirmed that they had extended the loan deals of Itumeleng Shopane, Ayanda Rorwana, Sizwe Twala and Given Thibedi for another season with Swallows before the start of the current campaign.
Swallows chairman David Mogashoa, however, was quoted as saying that Shopane, Rorwana and Twala were recalled by Amakhosi in November, while Thibedi stayed on with the Dube Birds
With Chiefs still serving their transfer ban, it was seen as though the three recalled players would be options for Hunt in a squad often questioned for its lack of depth.
Hunt has since made the admission that he is not the one who recalled the players and they have never been to Naturena since it was confirmed.
"No, I never (called them back). The club never called them back. They never came back once. If a player walked in front of me, I don't even know what they look like. They were never here," Hunt told the media after the game.
The Siya crew has established that Rorwana is at GladAfrica Championship side Pretoria Callies, while Shopane and Twala are training with Amakhosi’s reserve team.
Amakhosi, meanwhile, have confirmed that their DSTV Premiership match against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila will be played at Peter Mokaba Stadium on May 04 at 17h00.
