Red-hot Stellenbosch FC striker Ashley Du Preez has shared some revelations about Kaizer Chiefs amid talks of him being targeted in Gauteng.
The 23-year-old striker has been one of the on-form players in the DStv Premiership this season, especially in the last few months which has seen him attract interest from other clubs.
Speaking to media during South Africa under-23 camp in Durban, Du Preez said the attention he has been getting lately doesn't put pressure on him but rather motivates him.
The attacker has revealed goals, admitting that playing for Kaizer Chiefs has always been a dream.
"No, i can't say pressure, it motivates me to do more for Stellenbosch, so its not pressure but motivates me to work hard as I'm hoping to score at least ten goals this season.
"As a young kid I've always dreamt of playing for Kaizer Chiefs, they are a bigger team in the PSL but for now I'm happy at Stellenbosch FC. I've settled in very well, my long-term goal, its obviously moving abroad."
With rumours of him being eyed by the Soweto giants, he says that his focus is ensuring he improves on his football.
"My mind is in Stellenbosch, I saw rumours about Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, thats not where I put my mind, I'm at Stellenbosch and I'm happy, I'm just doing my thing there," he added.
