Kaizer Chiefs are understood to be assessing former Stellenbosch FC attacker Fuad Johnson, the Siya crew has learnt.
As reported by Kickoff.com, the 19-year-old has been going through his paces at Naturena in hopes of landing a contract with Amakhosi.
As reported by the Siya crew in October last year, Johnson, as well as Roy Keane Avontuur managed to impress the Chiefs scouts at the Bayhill tournament, where the burly striker put on a sensational display to be crowned the competition’s top scorer.
Given that the young striker is a free agent after receiving his clearance from Stellies, he has made his way to Johannesburg with the intention of landing himself a contract with the Glamour Boys.
The Siya crew reached out to the player’s representative Ashley Rasool of Lion Sports Management who would neither confirm nor deny the striker’s presence at Naturena.
Chiefs have been actively bolstering their squad during during the transfer window and have already roped in eight players.
It now remains to be seen whether Johnson manages to impress Arthur Zwane and his technical team to become the ninth player signed by Chiefs ahead of the 2022/23 season.
