With Kaizer Chiefs yet to confirm who their captain will be ahead of the new campaign, a former player has given his five candidates who are capable of leading the team.
Amakhosi coach Stuart Baxter was asked who would captain the team in the coming campaign, with a final decision yet to be made.
Former Chiefs goalkeeper Aubrey Mathibe has picked his options for the position of captain at Naturena.
"I think Khune can be the club captain, in an on and off the field basis for his leadership. It's not all about playing, but all around. Parker is another option because of his experience. But Chiefs need a captain who will play regularly, so I think they can choose between Daniel Cardoso, (Mulomowandau) Mathoho or even Keagan Dolly. You need someone who is going to play regularly in the team," Mathibe told the Siya crew.
"It's a new team now, so it's tricky at the moment. But I think between Cardoso, Mathoho and Dolly, one of them can be captain because I feel one of them will play regularly."
