A former Kaizer Chiefs defender could be set to join a new club sooner than later as he searches for a new team after leaving Naturena.
Following Chiefs’ confirmation last week that the club has parted ways with Lethlogonolo Mirwa, news reaching the Siya crew is that the left-back has been lined up as a possible signing by his former team Buya Msuthu in the ABC Motsepe League, this according to sources in the know.
Mirwa played for the North West-based third tier club before his surprise move to Amakhosi last year.
Asked about the 24-year-old player’s link to the club, head coach Kabelo Sibiya told the Siya crew, “I am waiting for him to confirm with me. There is a possibility but let’s wait and see what he decides on.”
Mirwa had been signed on a three-year deal by Chiefs, when he was announced by the club in June last year alongside Khama Billiat and Andriamirado Andrianarimanana, who has since also left Amakhosi for Black Leopards.
