Should Middendorp Stay At Chiefs?

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Ntokozo Sikhakhane has weighed in on the talk about Ernst Middendorp and his future at the Soweto giants.

For some time now, the German coach has been linked with an exit from Amakhosi though the experienced mentor has led the side to an impressive campaign in the Absa Premiership this season.

The PSL was suspended in mid-March with Chiefs at the top of the log with 48 points after 22 matches under the tactician.

“For me, Ernst Middendorp should stay. I would love to see him stay for another season or two. He’s been doing a great job, especially this season. There were a lot of negative things that were said about him at the beginning of the season, because he didn’t do well last season,” Sikhakhane told the Siya crew.

“Coming into this season, there was a lot of pressure on him but he sustained all of that. Chiefs have been on top of the log from the beginning of the season. That shows that the consistency is there,” he added.
