Kaizer Chiefs head coach Ernst Middendorp was happy that a number of fringe players got some game time against Mamelodi Sundowns and was particularly with one player's return.

Chiefs claimed their maiden Shell Helix Ultra Cup crown after defeating Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday afternoon.
Middendorp started with a strong line-up for the first half, but made a few alterations in the second half which included the return of Kgotso Moleko.
"I think a deserved win if we go to 90 minutes, we had definitely a clinical approach in the first half, good connection in terms of passing. I was sure we were going to have the second half in a different way," Middendorp told SABC after the match.
"To manage, there's no need for us to really go so far back, we lost a little bit our connection in terms of passing. We should have taken one or two counters where we had one-on-one situation," he continued.
"But good, we don't want to be too critical, we have seen some players not being used in the past, Leonardo [Castro] is excellent in his finishing, I'm very happy to have Kgotso Moleko in, [and] some other guys Kabelo [Mahlasela] and Siphelele [Ntshangase], Philani [Zulu] played. I think considering all these players being involved in the game, in the end we can be very proud."
