Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp singled out two players that impressed him the most during Amakhosi’s 1-1 Absa Premiership draw away to Black Leopards at the weekend, just days before a crucial cup tie.
Speaking the media after the game in Thohoyandou, the German said that midfielder Andriamirado ‘Dax’ Andrianarimanana and attacker Kabelo Mahlasela were easy on the eye, despite the club not being able to move up the table.

"Lifa Hlongwane (Leopards player) deserved to be Man of the Match, but that is an objective announcement. My subjective view is that with Dax I have seen a qualified performance from the start to the end,” said Middendorp.
“I know that he is probably coming to the party now with our Nedbank Cup game against Cape Town City some two weeks ago and he is presenting himself more and more – it’s very impressive.”

The coach also made mention of Mahlasela, who was a surprise inclusion in the starting line-up, though he did not finish the game due to a lack of match fitness according to the coach.
“We have seen some other guys like Kabelo, who played a good game. He was always available in the pockets,” Middendorp added.
'It suggests the duo could be in line to start yet again when Chiefs travel to Chippa United in the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup this weekend.
