Deadline Day: What Could Happen At Chiefs…
We’re into the final 24 hours of the South African transfer window, and with Deadline Day now fully upon us, what could happen for Kaizer Chiefs at Naturena?

The Glamour Boys have had an eventful few months with regards to player movements, with the likes of Samir Nurkovic, Kearyn Baccus, Yagan Sasman, James Kotei and Lazarous Kambole coming in to replace the numerous players that made their exits since April.
Chiefs’ head coach, Ernst Middendorp, has insisted that they’re happy with the squad that they’ve put together so far, though admitted that they’re always monitoring the market to see who is available should a suitable player come up.
With that in mind, it is known that the club is interested in both Bidvest Wits’ Thabang Monare as well as Lantshene Phalane of Bloemfontein Celtic, though it does appear unlikely – as things stand – that a deal will get done last minute for either player today.
Meanwhile, with regards to exits, Khama Billiat has long been linked with a sensational return to Mamelodi Sundowns, and thought Chiefs have issued a heavy ‘hands off’ warning, it remains to be seen whether Masandawana will make one final push.
Young Given Thibedi could also be on the move, as could Kabelo Mahlasela with Bloemfontein Celtic interested in a loan deal, and – despite his agent saying that he’s staying put - Siphelele Ntshangase is also a player being linked with an exit due to his lack of game-time at Naturena.
There are currently around 12 hours left until the window slams shut at 00h00 this evening, and the Siya crew will monitor things as they progress to see if there’s any movement at Naturena or not.
