Siya sources have informed the crew that the Glamour Boys will leave today (Thursday) to make their way to Limbe for the weekend’s CAF preliminary clash.
Chiefs confirmed the date of the way leg last week, but at the time said the venue, time and date for the return match had not yet been confirmed.
The Glamour Boys have had a tough time on the domestic front since the 2020/21 season got underway, with coach Gavin Hunt only managing two wins from the eight Chiefs have played so far, including the 1-0 defeat to Swallows earlier this week.
When he was appointed, chairman Kazier Motaung put doing well in the Champions League as another one of the expectations for Hunt.
Should they beat Bamenda over the two legs, Chiefs will progress to the first round, where Angola side Primeiro de Agosto is already waiting.
That stage of the competition is essentially the play-offs to get into the group stages.
Amakhosi have not been involved in the Champions League since 2016, a year after then coach Stuart Baxter guided them to the domestic championship.
Chiefs still have to make a decision on these players before the window closes next week!
