Following their trip to Cameroon to take on PWD Bamenda in the first leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary fixture, Hunt had told the media in his post-match interview that Ramahlwe Mphahlele could be sidelined.
The centreback pulled up injured on Sunday in their 1-0 win and was replaced at half-time, with the coach fearing the worst.
But it’s now thought the injury, said to be a hamstring concern, is not a serious as initially thought by the coach.
Chiefs arrived back safely from Limbe on Tuesday morning and will prepare for the return leg on Friday evening at the FNB Stadium.
Mphahlele is expected to miss the match, but could return to action four days later when Amakhosi face Black Leopards in the DStv Premiership.
The club has also confirmed that Mphahelele is still being assesed, but word reaching the Siya crew is that ‘Rama’ will not be sidelined for too long.
Chiefs still have rightback Reeve Frosler and striker Samir Nurkovic out injured and only expected back much later this month or even in January.
