Gavin Hunt’s debut season with Kaizer Chiefs keeps getting worse, with news that he’s lost arguably his biggest star through injury.
Amakhosi have announced that Zimbabwean international Khama Billiat will be out for two months after cracking a leg bone. This is bad news for Amakhosi, who have been struggling domestically with some poor results in the league, which see them sitting in 14th place on the standings, just a point ahead of bottom of the table Black Leopards.
This means Billiat will miss the Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates on January 30.

As if that’s not enough, Hunt will be without Colombian forward Leonardo Castro for the DSTV Premiership clash against AmaZulu at Kings Park Stadium on Wednesday, January 13. He has an abdominal strain and there is no indication as to when he will be back on the pitch.

Good news for Amakhosi is that midfielder Kearyn Baccus is available for selection after recovering from injury. Right back Reeve Frosler, meanwhile, is back on the pitch running and the club will continue to give updates on his progress.
