Chiefs Deliver Marquee Signing

Kaizer Chiefs have finally delivered their marquee signings, announcing the addition of two new players, in their biggest coup yet at Naturena!

As first reported by the Siya crew on Saturday, the Glamour Boys had earmarked Keagan Dolly, who had become a free agent after leaving Montpellier in the French Ligue 1, having spent four years at the club.

There was interest in both France and North Africa, with two offers tabled – but the attacker has opted to return to the Premier Soccer League and reunite with Stuart Baxter, who coached him while Bafana Bafana mentor.

Chiefs confirmed on Tuesday that Dolly and Cole Alexander, as predicted by the Siya crew, will join their squad roster for the 2021/22 season.

The Siya crew reported on Friday that Alexander, the ex-Bidvest Wits midfielder was reuniting with Baxter at Naturena.

It’s two massive signings for the club, having been sanctioned by FIFA for two of the transfer windows last season after improperly registering Madagascar midfielder ‘Dax’ back in 2018, meaning no new faces were allowed during the previous campaign.

Dolly, 27, and Alexander, 32, becomes Chiefs’ ninth and tenth arrival, and with the window open until the end of next month, it’s understood the Glamour Boys are still looking to bring in at least two more players.

Several others, like Willard Katsande, Brylon Petersen, Philani Zulu, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya and Kgotso Moleko are expected to be leaving.
