Kaizer Chiefs’ CAF Champions League quarterfinals opponents have been revealed following the draw on Friday afternoon in Cairo, Egypt.
The Glamour Boys made history by first reaching the group stages of the competition for the first time ever and then topped that feat with qualification to the quarterfinals.
Now they will face Simba SC of Tanzania next month over two legs and will be aiming to try go all the way to try make up for their disastrous DStv Premiership campaign under coach Gavin Hunt so far this season, where they are still outside the Top 8 with six games to go.
Chiefs will play the first leg at home before travelling to Tanzania later this month, while still juggling their domestic season.
They will be hopeful of of taking on a side less fancied in this tournament despite Simba finishing as group leaders ahead of Al Ahly, coached by Pitso Mosimane.
