An update has been provided on venue concerns regarding Cape Town City’s upcoming home match against Kaizer Chiefs.
Following their 1-1 draw against Mamelodi Sundowns in last night’s match at Lucas Moripe Stadium, City are scheduled to host Chiefs in their next match next Tuesday.
However, there have been issues with the Citizens' regular home venue in Cape Town Stadium since the season started as the team has had to move matches to Athlone and Newlands Stadiums respectively.
With the big match against Amakhosi next in line for the Mother City outfit, the club has confirmed that together with the PSL they will be conducting a final pitch inspection at the Cape Town Stadium this morning before making an announcement on the venue for the Chiefs match.
“The PSL and Cape Town City will be conducting a final pitch inspection at the Cape Town Stadium this morning. Following the inspection, an announcement will be made about the venue for the next home fixture vs Kaizer Chiefs!” confirmed City on the club’s official Twitter account.
