Zwane Sends Message To Chiefs Stars After Fourth Loss

Arthur Zwane says the Kaizer Chiefs players cannot give up now after suffering a fourth consecutive DStv Premiership loss on Saturday.

The Soweto giants fell to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Cape Town City at FNB Stadium, denting the side's hopes of finishing in second place this season.

Zwane has urged his players to remain professional as they look to finish the season on a high.

When asked what was his biggest frustration about not winning matches was he told SuperSport, "There's so much. You know when you have a team that you have so many challenges, when you try to fix the problem at the back, then you have a problem in midfield, when you try to solve the problem in midfield, you have a problem upfront.

"So ja at the moment things are not going our way and that is why we're playing in patches, there's no consistency simply because of that but ja I think let's hope when we get enough time to prepare the team that will help.

"Because we have not been playing, we've been preparing one session, then game, one session, then game, trying to get those combinations right because we keep making silly mistakes.

"If you look at the first goal and even the second goal, is more or less the same goal that we conceded against Golden Arrows, it's more or less the same goal we conceded from a transition when we were in attack against Stellies, so ja there's a lot that we have to fix but we have to move on at the end of the day.

"We can't give up now, we're all professionals, we're looking forward to the next game with the hope that we can maybe be able to get maximum points, we'll never stop pushing," he added.

Chiefs are planning to reduce the average age of the squad, are these players safe?
