Kaizer Chiefs are still pushing to acquire the services of a striker, the Siya crew can reveal.
Despite the recent statement from Royal AM, indications are that Amakhosi are still keen on transfer target, Victor Letsaolo.
Amakhosi has been long admirers of the attacker, with reports suggesting that an approach has been made for the Bafana Bafana star.
Royal AM denied any talks with Chiefs to sign the club's key player, revealing that the KZN-based outfit exercised the option to extend the stay of the Letsaolo until 2023.
Siya sources have indicated that should Royal AM part with the player, the club will not let him go cheaply.
"Chiefs is pushing for Letsoalo, they really want him, but to get him they must pay as he still contracted to Royal AM, who still values him. Anything can still happen because the player wants to move too. It is similar to what is happening to Sithebe," a source reveals.
"Royal AM want to keep him and money is not a problem. He can only leave if he wants to. Not because they cannot match Chiefs, the only thing Amakhosi can do is give them good offer."
With the 28-year-old experiencing a purple patch, he has been an integral part of Royal AM's campaign and is among the contenders for top goalscorer.
