Following remarks last week from coach Ernst Middendorp that Joseph Molangoane might not play for Kaizer Chiefs any time soon, the attacker has been dealt another major blow, which is likely to threaten his long-term career.
The Siya crew understands the 30-year-old is expected to go under the knife again, not long after he recovered from a horror leg break, which forced him to play just two games during the 2018-19 season.

Middendorp spoke of how he was influential in convincing the club to extend his contract by one more year recently, though there were serious doubts whether he would be able to play again – and the coach himself has since admitted Molangoane’s future looks bleak.
He is expected to return to the operating table this week as he has regressed in his rehabilitation following a clash in training with one of his teammates.
Chiefs have a big decision to make then with the players’ contract coming to an end in June next year and Molangoane still yet to make an appearance this season.
The club, according to insiders, does not expect to see him recover, though it would appear they are willing to exhaust all the options available to the player, like another surgery.
As things stand, however, it will be a tough road to recovery for the former Platinum Stars, AmaZulu and Orlando Pirates attacker.
