Kaizer Chiefs youngster Sabelo Bibo Radebe has followed in the famous footsteps of his Amakhosi teammate Bernard Parker after his incredible achievement this week.
It was just last week that Parker, 35, obtained a Higher Certificate in Sport Marketing Diploma at Boston, which was the veteran’s second qualification.
Now, Chiefs have revealed via the club’s official website that budding talent Bibo, as Radebe is affectionately known, is another of the club’s players to have obtained a tertiary qualification.
The 21-year-old obtained a qualification in Marketing in Sport Specialisation from Boston City Campus.
“I’m very happy to have acquired this qualification, because we all know that education is very important for all of us, more especially for us as footballers because our careers are relatively short,” said the 21-year-old Radebe, adding, “I have to admit that it was quite challenging to come back from training every day and then having to switch to books. But with the determination I have, I pushed as much as I could and it paid off,” he told the club’s website.
What’s left now for the talented midfielder is to break into coach Stuart Baxter’s plans.
The youngster who captains the Chiefs reserve side broke into the Chiefs first team under coach Gavin Hunt last season and to date has made just one appearance for Baxter’s side this campaign.
