Chiefs came close early on. Dumisani Zuma and Philani Zulu combined on the left flank which created space for Zulu to shoot but he could only find the side netting.

Amakhosi were continuing where they left off against Chippa on Saturday, playing some fluid one-touch football with lively off-the-ball movement at a very high tempo.

Zulu almost scored a wonder goal in the 26th minute when his rocket of a shot from outside of the box cannoned back off the crossbar after the ball was headed out to him from a Bernard Parker corner.

Soon after, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya delivered in to the box and Parker chested the ball off to Hendrik Ekstein, who was completely unmarked but missed a golden opportunity from ten yards out with the ball sailing over the target.

However, despite Ernst Middendorp's side doing all of the attacking, it was Arrows who took the lead against the run of play in the 34th minute. Kgotso Moleko failed to clear Sibusiso Conco's cross and Knox Mutizwa back-heeled the ball in to the path of Nduduzo Sibiya, whose long-range strike soared in to the top left-hand corner.

Shortly after the interval, Parker had a great chance to equalise when Zuma found the experienced Amakhosi forward with an excellent through ball, but his effort was well saved by Maximilian Mbaeva.

At halftime, Middendorp yanked off Ekstein for Ryan Moon, who almost made an instant impact when his deflected shot brought a diving save out of Mbaeva in the 47th minute.

Soon after, the hosts hit the bar twice in quick succession, first from a Daniel Cardoso volley and then a Moleko header. Chiefs then made the rest of their substitutions, bringing on George Maluleka and Joseph Molangoane for Andriamirado Andrianarimanana and Ntiya-Ntiya respectively.

Maluleka made an immediate impact, swinging in a delightful delivery from a corner which was powerfully headed home by Moleko for the equaliser with the ball going in to the back of the net off the underside of the crossbar in the 77th minute.

Soon after, Maluleka delivered another tantalising corner in the box which was headed narrowly over the bar by Cardoso as Chiefs extended their winless run in the league to four games.
